How to Care for Your Gold Jewelry

Your jewelry was crafted to last a lifetime and beyond, but it still needs to be taken care of from time to time.

To achieve a long lifespan for your pieces, keep adjustments to a minimum. Excessive bending can cause metal to weaken and break.

Remove jewelry before showering, sleeping, swimming, exercising or applying any moisturizers or fragrances.

Do not expose to continuous moisture or heat.

Solid Gold

All of Halsted Handcrafted's designs are created from solid gold, no plating is ever used.

Solid gold is an amazing material. Beyond its beauty, it's durable for everyday wear and naturally keeps its shine and luster year after year.

It requires a lot less maintenance than other metals, but it still needs a little love every once in a while. I recommend gently washing your gold pieces with unscented, clear dish soap and a soft toothbrush as desired. A Sunshine polishing cloth can also be used to shine up your solid gold pieces.
